No longer plain white, the door gives the appearance of being carved wood, with each panel representing one of the home owner's children and their families.

The pattern was traced onto hand rolled clay and cut out carefully.Then surface details were added.

Beginning to detail the feathers on the wings.

Glazed and fired, the heron is being laid out for installation.
